British new-wave ballet dancer/choreographer Michael Clark “got the measles,” or something resembling them, which forced cancellation of his dance troupe’s performance at Hollywood’s James A. Doolittle Theatre on Saturday night, according to Los Angeles Festival director Robert J. Fitzpatrick. Clark was diagnosed as suffering “from some viral syndrome,” Fitzpatrick said Sunday. The dancer’s fever had abated Sunday, however, and he was scheduled to perform last night, Fitzpatrick added. Clark will not make up the Saturday performance, the festival director said, and refunds will be made to ticket holders.
