Price Pfister reported that Russell L. Ray Jr. and W. Robert Lappin have been elected to its board of directors, the first outside directors in the company’s 77-year history.
Price Pfister, with headquarters in Pacoima, is a leading maker of brass faucets, valves and other plumbing fixtures. Appointment of the outside directors followed the company’s initial public stock offering last month, in which it sold 18% of its shares.
Ray is president of Pacific Southwest Airlines and previously was senior vice president for marketing at Eastern Airlines. Lappin is chairman of Lappin Communications, which has broadcast interests in Florida and Massachusetts, and president of Lappin Realty.
