American Airlines will raise its super coach discount fares by $5 to $15 each way on Sept. 15. The Dallas-based airline said fares will increase by $10 each way on routes of 1,000 miles or less and by $15 each way on routes of 1,000 miles or more. Fares will increase by $5 each way on routes formerly flown by AirCal, which it acquired last May. Delta Air Lines said it plans to match the increases, which United Airlines has already done.
