VIDEO CHARTS
Woody Allen’s “Radio Days” is picking up steam in the rental market, jumping from No. 24 to No. 13 after three weeks on Billboard magazine’s rental chart. Of recently released thrillers, “The Bedroom Window” is doing the best rental business. “Dead of Winter” is down 10 notches to No. 37, and “The Stepfather” is up three--to No. 33. “Light of Day,” starring Michael J. Fox, and “From the Hip,” the comedy about a yuppie lawyer featuring Judd Nelson, are off to good starts in the rental market. “Light” debuted at a gleaming No. 12 and “Hip” opened at No. 14. Other charts: “American Tail’ is No. 1 on the kidvid sales chart; “The Doors: Live at the Hollywood Bowl” leads the music videocassette chart.
* “An American Tail,” the animated feature-length cartoon, debuted on the rental chart at No. 9. Stores seem to be stocking up on the $29.95 cassette in anticipation of heavy Christmas sales.
