Poly Professors Get Grant
Four Cal Poly Pomona faculty members have received $397,213 from the National Science Foundation for a three-year project to teach 64 high school biology teachers new information and techniques for the classroom.
The Science Education Award was made to Jill Adler, professor of biological sciences; Donald Hoyt, associate professor of biological sciences; Scott Pattison, chairman and professor in the chemistry department, and Pamela Sperry, professor of biological sciences. The participating high school teachers are from Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Orange counties.
