Hart, Westlake Seek a Return to Form
The Hart and Westlake high football teams will attempt to rebound from losses when they face nonleague opponents at 7:30 tonight. Hart visits Arroyo and Westlake faces Ventura at Thousand Oaks High.
Hart (1-1) defeated Canyon in its opener but dropped a 31-14 decision to Mission Viejo on Saturday. The Indians have had only four days between games.
Westlake (1-1) lost to Lompoc, 22-18, Friday, by fumbling the ball away late in the game with a chance to score. Westlake quarterback Bob Grandpre completed 14 of 24 passes for 231 yards and two touchdowns.
Ventura (2-0), capitalizing on strong line play, already has dominated two opponents from the Marmonte League. The Cougars, from the Channel League, defeated Simi Valley, 35-6, and Newbury Park, 14-6.
