Local News in Brief : Truck Stolen From Mall
A ring of hijackers stole a United Parcel Service delivery truck from the Beverly Center shopping mall Monday while the driver was inside the mall dropping off merchandise, police said.
One of the men, Michael Justice, 24, was arrested on suspicion of receiving stolen property after witnesses saw him unloading the truck, which was carrying about $50,000 in merchandise, in a South Los Angeles neighborhood, Detective Vinson Scott said.
Police believe the ring is also responsible for stealing another UPS truck from the posh Los Angeles shopping mall last July, he said.
