An antique dealer pleaded innocent Tuesday to charges of defrauding customers out of $125,000.

Sonia Daniella Christine Bonge, who appeared before San Diego Municipal Court Judge Raymond Edwards in a wheelchair, owns the Shangri La shop at 1237 Prospect St. Deputy Dist. Atty. John Massucco said Bonge sold furniture and other items that she said were antiques but were not.

“She is known by a number of names, as indicated by the complaint. We don’t know who this lady is at this point,” Massucco told the judge.

Bonge’s attorney said she possessed many documents with different names because of several marriages.

Massucco said Bonge gave three different birth dates, with her age varying from 49 to 64.

She is charged with offering to sell a security that included untrue statements, using a scheme to defraud with the sale of a security, grand theft and forgery of a trust deed.

Massucco said four people have lost $125,000 in investments with her firm. She gave a phony deed on a nonexistent piece of property to Spain to one customer, Massucco alleged.

Edwards set bail at $750,000 and set a bail review for Friday. A preliminary hearing was set for Oct. 14.
