A Jamul man was killed Sunday afternoon on Proctor Valley Road in East County after he was ejected from the car he was driving when it overturned after rounding a curve, said Steven Lykins, a California Highway Patrol accident investigation officer.
Robert Scott Patterson, 26, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was traveling about 60 m.p.h. almost a mile south of Melody Road in Jamul when the accident occurred, Lykins said.
