U.S. Meets Australia in Wheelchair Tennis
The United States will play Australia today in the men’s team final of the U.S. Open Wheelchair Tennis Championships at the Racquet Club of Irvine.
In semifinal matches Saturday at Irvine, the United States defeated Great Britain, 3-0, and Australia defeated France, 3-0.
In the consolation matches, Holland beat Brazil, 3-0, and Israel beat Canada, 2-1.
In the women’s team competition, Great Britain eliminated the United States, 3-0, in a semifinal Saturday.
In the women’s final today, Great Britain will play Holland, which had advanced Friday.
Individual competition begins Monday and will conclude with the finals on Friday.
