Hungarian Diplomats to Set Up Israel Office
From Reuters
JERUSALEM — The first Hungarian diplomats in Israel in 20 years arrived over the weekend to set up an interests office following an agreement to re-estabish ties severed since the 1967 Middle East War, the Israeli Foreign Ministry said.
The agreement, calling for mutual interest offices in Budapest and Tel Aviv, was signed last month in Bern, Switzerland. It is widely seen as underscoring improved relations between Israel and the East Bloc.
