ARTS CONGRESS TO FOCUS ON FUNDING
Joint public/private partnerships to support the arts is the theme of the 12th annual Congress of the Arts to be held today through Saturday in San Francisco.
The convention is the annual meeting of the California Confederation of the Arts, the state’s arts advocacy organization.
Assembly Speaker Willie Brown is scheduled to speak at 9:45 a.m. today, followed by Anne G. Murphy, the convention’s keynote speaker and director of the American Arts Alliance. Murphy said she will provide a national perspective on the concept of public/private partnerships.
