Fullerton Needs Win Over New Mexico St. to Stay in PCAA Race
Cal State Fullerton, which last season became the only Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. school to lose to New Mexico State in football since the Aggies joined the conference in 1984, has a chance for revenge when the teams play at 1 p.m. today at Santa Ana Stadium.
The Aggies, 2-5 overall and 0-3 in the PCAA, upset Fullerton last year, 24-21, for their only victory in a 1-10 season.
Fullerton (4-4, 3-1) is in second place in the PCAA, trailing San Jose State, which is undefeated.
Fullerton receiver Todd White, who has 78 receptions for 1,141 yards in his career, needs only 4 catches to break Roy Lewis’ school record.
