Spanish-language TV station KMEX on Thursday aired what it claims is the first educational series on the dangers of AIDS in the Latino community. The first half-hour installment of the series, “Ojos Que No Ven” (Eyes That Do Not See), aired Thursday evening and featured dramatic sketches (produced by El Instituto Familiar de la Raza of San Francisco) that explain how AIDS is transmitted. The second leg of the series, an hour-long panel discussion of doctors and social workers titled “Nuestras Familias Frente al SIDA” (Our Families in the Face of AIDS), airs Saturday at 11 p.m. Both programs are jointly sponsored by KMEX and Pacific Bell.
