The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra left Tel Aviv Thursday for concert dates in Poland and Hungary--the first since the Soviet bloc severed relations with the Jewish state in the 1967 Middle East War. The philharmonic, led by Indian-born conductor Zubin Mehta, will perform five dates in Poland and one in Budapest.
