The average price of gasoline in the United States fell almost a penny during the past two weeks to just over $1 a gallon, the Lundberg Survey reported. The average, which includes all grades and taxes, was 100.05 cents a gallon when the nationwide survey concluded on Friday, said petroleum industry analyst Trilby Lundberg. At self-service pumps, prices per gallon were: regular unleaded, 91.73 cents; regular leaded, 88.17 cents, and premium unleaded, 106.27 cents. At full-service pumps, prices were: regular unleaded, 119.52 cents; regular leaded, 115.42 cents; and premium unleaded, 129.65 cents. “Retail gas prices are falling as a consequence of continued wholesale and spot price reductions,” Lundberg said.
