Turboprop Makes Emergency Landing--Minus a Wheel
Associated Press
FRESNO — A United Express turboprop plane with four people aboard made an emergency landing at Fresno Air Terminal minus a wheel at about 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, but there apparently were no injuries, an airport spokeswoman said.
“It was missing the left main hub and wheel,” Lee Ann Richter said. “I saw it come down. The pilot did a magnificent job--a little sparks, no fire.”
The 19-passenger twin-engine plane carried a crew of two and two passengers, Richter said.
