Peace activists in Warsaw ended a two-week Christmas fast held to protest the imprisonment of Poles who refuse to enter military service. Spokesmen for the 13 protesters said the fast, begun Dec. 13, was organized by the banned Polish group Freedom and Peace, and that 120 more people were fasting in sympathy in nine other European countries. The group wants alternative civilian service for conscientious objectors.
