J. Douglas Martinez has been named director of marketing for Price Pfister, a Pacoima maker of brass faucets and other plumbing fixtures. Martinez previously served in marketing positions at American Standard, a company in New Brunswick, N.J., that makes plumbing, air-conditioning and transportation products.

Magna Computer Systems in Sherman Oaks has named Thomas E. Malone to the newly created post of vice president of sales. Magna makes specialty computers for use in typesetting. Malone has held sales posts at Qubix Graphic, a supplier of computers for producing graphics, and Autologic, a maker of typesetting equipment.
