A motorist eastbound on the Riverside Freeway reported a possible freeway shooting this weekend near the Riverside County border, authorities said. No one was hurt.
The unidentified driver heard something hit the passenger door of his Nissan 300ZX shortly after 3 p.m. Sunday, Sheriff’s Lt. Robert Rivas said. The man pulled off the freeway at the Gypsum Canyon exit and discovered a hole through the outside metal panel of the car door.
Sheriff’s investigators were planning to examine the door to determine if a bullet struck the vehicle, Rivas said.
