Chinese film star Yang Zaibao won a public apology Tuesday from a magazine that used his picture in a sex tonic advertisement--the second Chinese notable in a month to claim his reputation was ruined by makers of virility potions. (The first was weightlifter Guo Qinghong.) Yang told the New China News Agency that he had been “criticized and misunderstood” by business and personal associates alike after a magazine used his picture without permission to promote an alleged cure for sexual problems. The star dropped a claim for $81,000 compensation against “Woodpecker” magazine and settled out of court for a printed apology, the agency said.
