Local News in Brief : Huntington Beach : Pizza Hut Robber Eats, Helps Himself to $800
A hungry robber ordered a sandwich Tuesday night at a Pizza Hut before pulling a revolver on the restaurant manager and fleeing with $800 from the cash register, police said.
The gunman walked into the restaurant in the 17300 block of Beach Boulevard minutes before the 11 p.m. closing time and sat down at a table with his dinner, said Police Lt. Bill Mamelli. After the last patron had left, the man ordered the 20-year-old store manager at gunpoint to empty the register.
The robber fled on foot with the cash, police said. No one was injured.
