Golf Fees Going Up
SAN DIEGO — Beginning Jan. 15, golfers from out of town will be paying more to play 18 holes at the Balboa Park and Torrey Pines municipal golf courses, the City Council decided Monday. The council unanimously approved a new schedule of fees to raise nearly $6.5 million for capital improvements needed at the two courses over the next several years. At Torrey Pines, greens fees for golfers from outside San Diego County will rise from $12.25 to $20 on weekdays and from $14.25 to $25 on weekends. The Balboa Park fees will increase from $12.25 to $15 on weekdays and from $12.25 to $20 on weekends.
