Mass Hysteria and Cigarettes

While all of these politicians are running around beating their chests about the hazards of secondary smoke, it seems that no one has read the government’s report on the subject.

It seems that an evening in a smoky bar might subject the nonsmoker to the equivalent of smoking less than one cigarette a day.

This is hardly worth preventing smokers from lighting up in the courthouse corridors, or in most public places, other than the inadequately ventilated meeting rooms.

Cigarettes may be bad, but mass hysteria is worse.
