“Follies,” the Stephen Sondheim-James Goldman look at early days of Broadway, beat out two other American imports and a home-grown British production to be named best musical on the London stage at Sunday’s 12th annual Olivier Awards ceremony sponsored by the Society of West End Theater. “Serious Money,” a satire on finances and morals, and “Three Men on a Horse,” a prewar farce by George Abbott and John Cecil Holm, were named best play and best comedy respectively.
