1-Day Salvador Truce

SAN SALVADOR — Government troops and leftist rebels will observe a truce in El Salvador on Sunday to allow a vaccination campaign to go ahead undisturbed, the government said Wednesday.
In the one-day nationwide campaign, U.N. Children’s Fund and government health teams plan to vaccinate 190,000 children and 30,000 women of child-bearing age against chicken pox, measles, diphtheria, whooping cough and tetanus, a government statement said.
