In sports: Mike White, a 7-foot, 285-pound boxer, and Dee Collier will fight for the California heavyweight championship Monday night, the main event on the Irvine Marriott boxing card.
The Cal State Fullerton men’s basketball team plays at UC Santa Barbara on Thursday night and at UC Irvine on Saturday. UC Irvine will host University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Thursday in another Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. game. The Chapman College men’s basketball team will host Cal State Northridge on Thursday and Cal State Los Angeles on Saturday in two California Collegiate Athletic Assn. games.
