College Basketball : Chapman Loses to Riverside
Maurice Pullum scored 29 points to lead UC Riverside to an 82-70 California Collegiate Athletic Assn. victory over Chapman College Saturday at Riverside.
Pullum hit 10 of 20 shots from the field, including 6 of 14 three-pointers, to help the Highlanders (15-3, 4-1) to their fifth straight victory.
“Pullum played a great game for them,” said Chapman Coach Kevin Wilson. “He’s a first team all-conference player. He’s the only guy that played well for them in the first half (scoring 17 of Riverside’s 35 first-half points), and he was mainly responsible for their run in the second period.”
