Old Globe Theatre artistic director Jack O’Brien is in Los Angeles preparing to direct Robert Anderson’s “I Never Sang for My Father” for PBS’ American Playhouse. A tentative June air date has been scheduled for the broadcast, which features Dorothy Maguire, Daniel Travanti and Harold Gould. Travanti and Gould have performed at the Globe, and Maguire co-founded the La Jolla Playhouse.
