Marinovich Receives Another National Award
Todd Marinovich, quarterback at Capistrano Valley High School, has been named the high school back of the year by the Touchdown Club of Atlanta.
It is the third national award that Marinovich, a senior, has been given since December. He was honored as the offensive player of the year by the National High School Coaches Assn. and as the player of the year by the Touchdown Club of Washington, D.C., earlier this year.
Marinovich set a national career passing record with 9,165 yards during a four-year career.
Marinovich will receive the Atlanta Touchdown Club’s award at a dinner in Atlanta on Feb. 13.
