Egg Factories ‘Appalling’
Anyone aware of the unbearable conditions under which chickens live out their miserable egg-producing lives will have no sympathy to waste on the insensate “factory farmers” responsible for this monumental horror.
If, as they say, consumption of eggs has dropped, they should consider that many people have stopped buying eggs as the quickest way to impress upon these egg entrepreneurs the unacceptability of cramming living creatures so tightly together in cages they cannot move, their poor feet with nothing but a wire floor to support them, never to touch the good earth during their entire lifetimes.
Eggs are cheap, yes, but at what cost to humane values? And to the safe, healthful quality of an important part of our food supply?
