Solid Pitching Paces Cal Lutheran Sweep
Junior Matt Shepherd pitched a complete game in the first game Saturday and starter Kevin O’Neill pitched six innings in the second game as Cal Lutheran swept a nonconference doubleheader against visiting Whittier, 4-2 and 3-2.
Chris Portis and Kevin Wynn homered in the first game for the Kingsmen (3-3). CLU’s Anthony Espitia homered in the second game.
