Fight Over Repair Kills Car’s Owner
A 24-year-old Los Angeles man was shot to death Friday at a Sunland auto shop in a dispute over the repair bill for his late-model Porsche, Los Angeles police said.
The man, whose name was not released, was shot by a mechanic at Porsche Sports, 7840 Foothill Blvd., about 5:15 p.m., Detective Bernard Conine said.
Witnesses said both men pulled handguns while arguing over a repair bill, Conine said. The dead man was shot in the body, the detective said. Only one shot was fired, he said.
No arrests had been made Friday night, but police were questioning the mechanic, Conine said.
