Boat With 45 Aliens Capsizes

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — A crowded boat carrying 45 illegal aliens from the Dominican Republic capsized in heavy seas off Puerto Rico’s west coast and police launched a search for survivors, authorities said today.
Two Dominican survivors arrested by authorities said the wooden boat, described as being 25 to 30 feet long, had 37 men and eight women aboard when it capsized in heavy seas late Sunday, a Puerto Rican police spokesman said. Three bodies washed ashore.
