Contracting for future construction projects jumped 10% in February, recouping January’s 8% decline, according to a survey by the F. W. Dodge division of McGraw-Hill Information Systems Co. The survey estimated that the annualized value of all newly started construction projects in February at $249.7 billion, the highest level since last October.
