Motorcyclist Crashes Into Truck and Is Killed
A motorcyclist was killed Friday when his bike collided with a stake truck on Grand Avenue in Santa Ana, authorities said.
The motorcyclist, identified as Israel Hernandez, 37, of Santa Ana died instantly in the collision, Santa Ana police said.
Police said Hernandez was traveling south on Grand Avenue at a high rate of speed at about 3:20 p.m. Friday, when his motorcycle crashed into the rear of a three-axle stake-bed truck that was attempting to turn left onto St. Gertrude Place. The driver of the truck was not injured, police said.
