Local News in Brief : Professional Volleyball on Beach

The Hermosa Beach City Council on Tuesday unanimously approved a permit for a women’s professional beach volleyball tournament Aug. 27 and 28 on the north side of the Hermosa Beach Pier. The tournament request was submitted by Group Dynamics Inc., which conducted the city’s first women’s professional tournament in 1987.

Other professional volleyball tournaments scheduled for the year include a women’s event on July 23 and 24 and a men’s competition Sept. 24 and 25.
