Campbell Soup Co. said it has made a $2.99-a-share cash offer for British frozen food group Freshbake Foods Group PLC, valuing the company at about $200 million. Camden, N.J.-based Campbell said 20.94 million ordinary Freshbake shares or 31.12% of the company’s outstanding common shares have been irrevocably tendered. Once Campbell acquires Freshbake, the existing British Campbell operations will be integrated into Freshbake with the Campbell “Groko” frozen foods business in the Netherlands.
