Thrift regulators have obtained $2.14-million in restitution from two former California thrift executives and are seeking restitution from a former New Orleans thrift president following his conviction. The Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corp. obtained $2.14 million in restitution from brothers Leif and Jay Soderling, former owners of Golden Pacific Savings & Loan Assn. of Santa Rosa, Calif., after a Department of Justice investigation and criminal conviction. FSLIC will also seek restitution from Leonard J. Munna, former president of the $115.3-million New Orleans Federal Savings & Loan Assn. Munna was convicted in U.S. District Court in New Orleans for arranging kickback transactions that caused at least $10 million in losses.
