RLI Acquisition Corp. began a cash tender offer at $34 a share for all outstanding shares of common stock of Redken Laboratories Inc. Redken’s board has recommended acceptance of the offer by its public shareholders. RLI Acquisition Corp. is a new corporation formed by Paula Kent Meehan, founder, chairman and chief executive of Redken. Shares not acquired in the tender offer will receive $34 per share in cash in the merger.
