There are two rather important (or at least imposing) guys in town who are less than enchanted with Cannon Films these days. Action film star Chuck Norris told syndicated columnist Marilyn Beck on Tuesday that he was upset with the lack of support Cannon gave his last film, “Braddock: Missing in Action III.” And Steven Spielberg disbelieved publicly that Cannon sold the legendary Elstree Studios outside London without giving film people a shot at the deal. Norris suggested to Beck that Cannon do a better job on Norris’ new one, “The Hero and the Terror,” than it did with “Braddock.” Meanwhile, Spielberg told syndicated columnist Liz Smith: “To me, Elstree is better than any studio in Hollywood. I think I might have raised some financial support had I been given a little time.”
