Cimco Inc. reported record quarterly earnings and revenue for its fiscal first period ended July 31. Profit more than doubled to $911,502 from $370,173 in the year-earlier period. The Costa Mesa manufacturer of plastic components for the electronics and medical industries said its sales were $13.2 million, an increase of 61% from year-ago sales of $8.2 million. The company attributed its higher sales to an “improved business environment for U.S. manufacturers.” The firm said its earnings were up because higher sales resulted in more efficient utilization of its manufacturing plants.
