Crews cleared mudslides from roads and took food and other supplies to thousands of people stranded in southern Mexico by hurricane-triggered floods that killed at least 28 people. In northern Veracruz state, which took the brunt of Hurricane Debby on Friday, there were at least 16 dead and 25,000 homeless, according to a state official. The hurricane dissipated after coming ashore, but rain continued through the weekend in much of the region. The resort of Ixtapa-Zihuatenejo was isolated for a third day, stranding tourists.
