Linebacker Lawrence Taylor, who completed a 30-day suspension for failing a drug test, will play Sunday against the Washington Redskins if he is ready, according to New York Giants Coach Bill Parcells.
Meanwhile, four other suspended players who have been reinstated--cornerback Daryl Smith and linebacker Emanuel King of the Cincinnati Bengals, wide receiver John Taylor of the San Francisco 49ers and defensive end Bruce Smith of the Buffalo Bills--are waiting for work as to whether they will be activated for this weekend’s games.
Bill Walsh, 49er coach, hinted that John Taylor, will be activated. If Smith is activated, Coach Marv Levy said he will start against the Chicago Bears.
