Sylmar’s Madrid Returns to Ring

Erick Madrid of Sylmar, a promising lightweight who has a 17-2-1 record with 14 knockouts but has not fought in two years, returns to the ring tonight at the Hollywood Palladium against Jerry Rosenberg of Los Angeles.

Rosenberg is 9-2 with 5 knockouts. The bout is scheduled for eight rounds.

In another fight, Ruben Villaman of Mexico City (26-5, 16 knockouts) takes on Russell Mitchell of Quail Valley in a scheduled 10-round welterweight bout. Mitchell is a former California welterweight champion.

The card gets under way at 7 p.m.
