Canada Blast Kills 4 Scientists
From Reuters
McMASTERVILLE, Canada — A blast at an explosives research laboratory near Montreal killed four scientists and left one seriously injured today, a company spokeswoman said.
A sixth worker was treated at a hospital and released shortly after the explosion at the CIL Inc. complex in this Quebec town. The scientists were conducting experiments in emulsion explosives, which are used in mining and large construction projects. The lab is part of a much larger complex, including an explosives plant, on the shore of the Richelieu River.
