Fire Burns 50 Acres
More than 50 acres of chaparral burned Monday afternoon in a brush fire near Buckman Springs Road in the Campo area, a spokesman for the California Department of Forestry said.
Several houses in Morena Village near Lake Morena were threatened at one point, but no structures were damaged, and no one was injured, the spokesman said.
