High School Top 10 : Oceanside, RBV in Showdown as No. 1 Plays No. 2
SAN DIEGO — Oceanside and Rancho Buena Vista high schools, with teams that have rolled past five opponents each and taken over the top 2 spots in The Times’ San Diego County high school football rankings, will decide who’s No. 1 Friday night when they meet at Oceanside High School.
Oceanside is ranked No. 1 and Rancho Buena Vista No. 2. Although no official records are kept, it is believed that this is the first regular-season meeting between the county’s top two teams since Helix and Vista met in 1981.
