San Francisco’s Police Commission has condemned as “racist and inflammatory” a false “information bulletin” that ridicules a black police officers’ association. “Those who are found responsible will be brought up on charges before this commission,” Commissioner Alfred Nelder said. The unsigned flyer, circulated at several police stations on official “information bulletin” stationery, is written as a recruitment for “Officers for Just-Us.” A real organization, Officers for Justice, represents most of the San Francisco Police Department’s 160 black officers.
