Agoura 26, Nordhoff 23--After a valiant comeback in the second half, Agoura needed an overtime period for the victory at home. Agoura is 4-2-1, 1-1 in league play.
The Chargers trailed, 14-6, after the third quarter but tied the score on a 3-yard touchdown run by Dave Caramanis and 2-point conversion pass from Josh Smaler to Caramanis.
The league’s new overtime rule was enacted--each team getting possession twice. Both teams scored on their first possession before Rob Lasby kicked a 27-yard field goal to give Nordhoff (1-6, 0-2) a 23-20 lead. Agoura’s Zac Miller then scampered 10 yards for a touchdown to end the game.
